Bold research is more than a phrase at CRC. It reflects the mindset required to move neuroscience clinical research forward: courage to pursue what is possible, discipline to do the work the right way, and belief in better futures for the people and families living with CNS conditions.
At CNS Summit 2025, our team invited the neuroscience research community to join CRC in a shared commitment: the Pledge to Be Bold. Together, we pledged to reject the status quo and hold ourselves to a higher standard. We pledged to ask better questions, choose integrity over convenience, and continue pushing for progress in CNS clinical research with urgency, care, and intention.
The response was meaningful. Investigators, sponsors, and colleagues across the field added their names and shared why they show up for this work. Each message reinforced a simple truth: progress happens when people care enough to push for it.

What Bold Looks Like at CRC
At CRC, bold means showing up every day with focus, discipline, and responsibility to the science and the people behind it and not settling for the status quo. It means following through, staying accountable, and doing the work with consistency and respect while thinking outside the box and pushing boundaries as to what is possible.
Bold research at CRC looks like:
- Preparing deeply, thinking critically, and communicating clearly
- Working as one team across sites, sponsors, and partners
- Protecting data quality with precision and rigor
- Solving challenges with urgency, creativity, and collaboration
- Asking better questions to uncover better answers
- Showing up every day with discipline, humility, authenticity, and purpose
Join the Movement
This pledge marks the continuation of an ongoing movement. In the coming months, CRC will share personal pledges from across our team and the reasons our work matters to them. We hope these stories encourage others throughout the CNS research community to reflect on their own “why” and to join us in carrying this pledge forward.
Bold research advances science. Bold people make it real.
Join the movement. #PledgeToBeBold.
